About Us
Wisdom Begun was founded in 2020 by husband and wife team Louise and Michael Oliver. The goal of Wisdom Begun is to encourage reading of Scripture and spiritual texts. We want to help people to access Words of Wisdom - not only to mindlessly read - but to mindfully reflect and then rejoice on the timeless guiding intelligence that inspired them.
Hence "Read, Reflect, Rejoice" is our company motto. ;-)
But not only that - put into action the words and knowledge that you learn.
Wisdom Begun is part of a small family business we have set up called The Great Stuff Company.
The Great Stuff Company is a young e-commerce business trading in the USA and worldwide. We are a ‘mom and pop’ family business and our aim is to provide high quality products, great customer service, and useful information to families just like us. There are three brands under The Great Stuff Company umbrella: Stuff4Homes, which focuses on great products and clever ideas for the home and the office, Stuff4Tots, which provides parenting tips and lovely products for babies and toddlers, and Wisdom Begun, which provides Words of Wisdom from our Lord Jesus Christ and from leading thinkers and philosophers.
The Great Stuff Company was founded by Louise and Michael Oliver; we still run the company hands on every day. We have two lovely little children and we set up this business to allow us to provide for them and, at the same time, be around at home to watch them grow up.

As you would expect from a family-run business, we take a personal interest in our customers’ needs as our reputation depends on your satisfaction! To provide such competitive prices, we work directly with the manufacturer, so there is no middle man in the process; this way, we can offer our merchandise at extremely low prices. Business Ethics
The goal of our company is to do more than just chase profits. We aim to give something back too and, accordingly, 10% of our profits will be donated to charitable causes annually.
We also look at ways to reduce the environmental impact of our products – for example, the waterproof coating on our mattress protectors is biodegradable – and we are determined to do more as we grow.
